Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian Military (TNI) Head of Information Center Brigadier General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah has responded to circulating reports regarding a "Siaga 1" (highest alert) status issued by TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto.
Addressing a leaked telegram, TR/283/2026, which reportedly instructs all ranks to anticipate escalations from the Middle East conflict, he said that the military’s core duty is to remain professionally responsive to global and national strategic developments.
"The TNI is tasked with maintaining operational readiness to safeguard the nation and its citizens against any foreign threats," Chief Aulia said on Saturday (7/3/29026), as cited by antaranews.com.
While he confirmed that routine drills and troop inspections are standard procedure to strengthen national defense, he did not explicitly confirm or deny the validity of the specific "Siaga 1" status when pressed for further details.
The leaked document reportedly lists seven instructions, including the deployment of soldiers and primary weaponry to secure strategic vital objects such as airports, seaports, power plants, and economic centers.
This heightened vigilance follows a series of regional tensions, though official confirmation of a nationwide alert level remains pending from the high command.
