Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan reviews food stocks in Kramat Jati Market on Friday (3/15/2024). The initiative was taken to ensure the food stock availability during Ramadan. “This morning we came to Keramat Jati Market, to continue our monitoring so that during Ramadan and Eid Al-FItr, we have ample food supplies,” said Zulkifli Hasan, or famously called Zulhas, at press conference on Friday (3/15/2024). Following the visit, Zulhas states that several food supplies such as rice, chicken egg, sugar, and cooking oil are available in the market. However, Zulhas found there are several stock prices going up, such as curly chilies reached IDR 100,000 per kilogram (kg) from previously IDR 80,000 per kg. Other than chili, local rice price also going up from IDR 90,000 per 5 kg to IDR 95,000 per kg. The increase is due to the stock are not in harvest yet until April. “However, we have the alternative stock from Bulog which sells IDR 11,000 per kilogram, or the premium rice with the price of IDR 14,000 per kilogram. We are aware that the harvest season is shifted to April, which delays our stock production. Next month we will have plentiful stocks for Rice,” add Zulhas. Moreover, Zulhas also revealed that the price for chicken egg are IDR 40,000 per kilogram and beef for IDR 130,000 to IDR 140,000. Although there are several stock prices going up, Zulhas stressed that the stock availability in market is safe. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
