Metro Jaya Regional Police Thwarts Drugs Flow, Estimated to Save 16,380 People

Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Metro Jaya Regional Police successfully has saved around 16,380 people from the dangers of drugs by uncovering three drug criminal cases. “From the total evidence we acquired, we estimated to save around 16,380 people, with 66.9 kg of weed potentially misused by 13,380 people, 2,500 LSD potentially misused by 2,500 people, and 3,416 gr of ecstasy potentially misused by 500 people,” said the Drug Criminal Investigation Director of Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Hengki in press conference on Friday (3/15/2024). The director also revealed that on their case disclosure, police has arrested five suspects which are IP, DY. HP, NK, and AI alias B. From the arrest of the five suspect, police confiscated 66.9 kg of weed, 2,500 of LSD, 416 grams of Meth, and raw materials used to create ecstasy. “For the LSD, it was sent from Germany through JNE,” explained the Director. Then for the circulation of meth, investigators have uncovered home industry in an apartment in Cengkareng. The suspects, says the director, have studied the way of making meth when serving their time inside jail. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
