inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the true meaning of independence lies in the realization of the three national goals as stated in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution: to prosper and educate the nation, and to play an active role in world peace.

"We have been independent for 80 years, but the President often says that we are suffering from poverty, he aims to break them and free the state from poverty ," said the Head of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Hasan Nasbi, on Thursday (8/14/2025).

The Head of the PCO also stated that President Prabowo highlighted the situation of Indonesian children who are not yet in school, as well as the heavy dependence on other countries for food and energy.

"We have been independent for 80 years, but we still depend heavily on foreign countries, especially for food and energy. We must be free from dependency," he said.

According to the Head of the PCO, the government is determined to realize these ideals through policies and programs that support the welfare of the people, national independence, and the advancement of Indonesian civilization.

"So, the government will realize the goals outlined there. This will be true independence," concluded the Head of PCO.
