inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto encouraged mayors to optimize the role of young people in developing their great potential, enthusiasm, and energy that can help the government in building innovation and improving public services.
Bima gave an example when he served as Mayor of Bogor, he met a group of young people who initiated a waste management movement. The initiative succeeded in inspiring the local community, resulting in Bogor City being clean from waste.
"So, regarding the problem of waste, I am sure that we can resolve this issue together," said Bima in his speech at the Youth City Changers event of the Association of Indonesian City Governments (APEKSI) Bincang Muda I with the theme "Called for the Country" at the Surabaya City Square, East Java, Wednesday.
At the meeting, Bima also encouraged young people to be able to live good and productive lives through reading or socializing through organizations.
With this way of life, Bima believes that young people will be able to develop their potential well.
