inp.polri.go.id - West Java. Police revealed that the number of victims of suspected mass poisoning due to consumption of Free Nutritious Food (MBG) in Cipongkor District, West Bandung Regency, has risen up. A total of 369 people were reported as victims as of Tuesday (9/23/2025).
Head of Public Relations of the West Java Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Hendra Rochmawan said that the victims consisted of students from various levels of education ranging from elementary school, MTs, junior high school to vocational school.
"According to the latest data, the number of victims has reached 369 people. Of that number, 112 people are still undergoing treatment at a number of health facilities, while 257 people have recovered and been allowed to go home," said Hendra in an official statement, Wednesday (9/24/2025).
Hendra emphasized that his party, along with related agencies, are continuing to investigate to determine the cause mass poisoning. He also appealed to the public to remain calm.
"The main focus now is the medical treatment of the victims. For the investigation, the team has moved to trace the food suspected of being the cause," he said.
