Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla) welcomed Vietnam Coast Guard vessel CSB 8001 at Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, on Monday (25/8/2025), marking a new step in strengthening maritime security ties between the two nations.
“This visit reflects our commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation in maritime safety and security across the region,” said Vice Admiral Irvansyah, the Chief of Bakamla, while receiving the Vietnamese delegation, as reported by antaranews.com.
The ship’s arrival was greeted with a naval marching band and a formal guard of honor from Bakamla and the Indonesian Navy. Senior Vietnamese Coast Guard officials disembarked and exchanged greetings with their Indonesian counterparts before a scheduled ship tour.
The three-day program, running until Wednesday, includes bilateral talks, joint sports activities, and coordinated security exercises. Both sides are expected to discuss collaboration on combating illegal fishing, piracy, and other cross-border maritime threats in the South China Sea and surrounding waters.
