The island is heavily guarded by the Outermost Island Security Task Force (Pam Puter) whose officers are the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI), consisting of marines and the Indonesian Army. On that occasion, the One-Star General came with Natuna Regent Wan Siswandi, Natuna Police Chief AKBP Iwan Ariyandhy, Military District Commander 0318 Natuna Lieutenant Colonel (Inf) Hasbul Hasyiek Lubis and his entourage. Before going to Sekatung Island, Wakapolda Kepri and his entourage first reviewed the construction of the Pulau Laut Police Station which had just been completed and was planned to be inaugurated directly by the Head of the Riau Islands Police (Kapolda Kepri). In front of the Pam Puter Task Force personnel on Sekatung Island, Wakapolda Kepri said this was his first opportunity to visit Natuna and at the same time visit Sekatung Island, which is at the northern tip of Indonesia. "Because I had the opportunity to visit Natuna, I took the time to visit Sekatung Island as the outermost island of Indonesia and greet my friends who work here," said Wakapolda Kepri. While shaking hands with all personnel of the Pam Puter Task Force, Wakapolda Kepri expressed his gratitude. Wakapolda Kepri explained that guarding the border areas of the Republic of Indonesia is a noble task.
