Welcoming Of  2021 National Sports Week, The Papua Provincial Government Creates A Special Team For Coordination

Papua Regional Secretary Dance Yulian Flassy said the Papua Provincial Government decided to create a special team in organizing the XX 2021 National Sports Week (or in Bahasa Indonesia popular with PON). "Yes, we form a special team that will actively coordinate (with various parties) until the implementation of PON," said Dance, in a written statement received by Kompas.com, Monday (10/5/2021). As is known, the implementation of PON 2021 in Papua Province is only 154 days away. With the implementation time approaching, the Papua Provincial Government is intensifying coordination with related parties. This statement was conveyed by Dance during a coordination meeting (Rakoor) with various related parties at the Sasana Karya Room, the Papua Governor's Office, Monday (10/5/2021). The related parties are the Papua Regional Police, Cenderawasih Regional Military Command, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, Jayapura City Government, Jayapura Regency Government, Paralympic Week National Organizing Committee and PON Organizing committee. From the meeting, Dance explained, if there are various problems in the field or obstacles to date, a solution will be sought. "Such as the issue of indigenous people's land. We will discuss this and solve it," he said. On the same occasion, the Regional Military Commander (Pangdam) XVII / Cenderawasih Major General Ignatius Yogo Triyono stated that all parties have now agreed to make PON Papua a success. He also dared to give guarantees related to security when the PON took place. It would be under control. "Regarding the security of the Indonesian National Armed Forces - the Indonesian National Police, I make sure it is safe. I bet my rank and position for the success of this PON, "said Yogo. In line with Ignatius, Chief of the Papua National Police, Police Inspector General Mathius D Fakhiri believes that PON's security situation will be conducive.
