inp.polri.go.id- Jayapura. The Papua Regional Police will prepare simulation for the PON XXX – National Sports Week which will be held before October 2021. Chief of Papua Regional Police, Inspector General Pol. Mathius Fakhiri said the simulation is important as way to conduct traffic engineering, particularly for the opening and closing ceremony of PON XX – 2021 National Sports Week. "This simulation is important so that in its implementation, the public can feel comfortable watching the opening and the closing of the XX PON in Papua," the Chief of Papua Regional Office said. According to Mathius Fakhiri, the Papua Regional Police will prepare around 8,000 police personnels who will cooperate with the Papua Provincial Government to provide security. "On the other hand, we have also asked PB PON [the PON Committee) to write to all contingents to prepare internal security that can cooperate with the Regional Police and the Regional Military Command (Kodam)," he added. The Chief of Papua Regional Police Chief also explained each contingent could have additional security of approximately 30 personnels who would cooperate with the Regional Police and the Regional Military Command in Papua. "This internal PAM will work together to protect officials and athletes in each contingent," said the High Officer. The Two-Star General added this security simulation is planned to be held in the last week of June 2021 as way for the community in each cluster, four districts/cities, that organize PON XX 2021 – 2021 familiar with the event.
