inp.polri.go.id – Commander of the Regional Military Command (Pangdam) of Hasanuddin XIV, Major General TNI Andi Muhammad, was accompanied by the Head of the West Sulawesi Police (Kapolda Sulbar), Inspector General Verdianto I Bitticaca and the West Sulawesi High Prosecutor's (Kajati Sulbar), Didik Istiyanta when inaugurating 118 units of TNI official residence in Makorem 142 Tatag Mamuju after the January 15, 2021 earthquake disaster. The inauguration of the official residence was marked by the signing of an inscription by Pangdam and followed by a symbolic ribbon cutting ceremony by Pangdam, Kapolda, and Kajati Sulbar, Thursday (12/05/22). On a separate occasion, when the Commander of the TNI, General Andika Perkasa inspected the official residence, he said that as many as 118 units of TNI-AD house in Makorem 142/Tatag were built from the TNI-AD budget which was intended for the reconstruction of TNI-AD residence after the earthquake. "So the budget that has been disbursed is 49 billion rupiahs specifically for housing development at Korem 142/Tatag, but even then this is still lacking and much more is needed," added TNI General Andika Perkasa. "In addition, the equipment, especially in the operations section, has been upgraded by the TNI Commander, specifically for soldiers assigned to the Operations section, such as additional motorbikes and better weapons. We will always strive for the better welfare of the Soldiers in order to maintain their best performance in duties of the State, so that our country remains safe and peaceful," said the TNI Commander. The Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Sulbar, Commissioner Syamsu Ridwan revealed that the construction of housing for TNI personnel was very beneficial to support the TNI's duties in maintaining the integrity and sovereignty of the nation, especially in the West Sulawesi region. The official housing that was built is also part of the attention from the leaders of the TNI to meet the needs of facilities and infrastructure to support tasks in the field.
