The Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-Terror held a Seminar "Interreligious Dialogue and Action" at the Pacific Palace Hotel, Batam, on Sunday (2/8/2026). This activity aimed to prevent the dangers of intolerance, radicalism, extremism and terrorism (IRET) in the Riau Islands region.
The seminar was attended by 200 people, including religious leaders, community leaders, and students. In the seminar, the Densus 88 Anti-Terror Prevention Team discussed the characteristics of people exposed to intolerance, radicalism, and terrorism, as well as how to prevent them.
"We hope that the people of Riau Islands will be active and play a role in preventing the dangers of intolerance, radicalism, and terrorism," said Second Police Inspector R. Satriya Dedy Kurnia, a member of the prevention team.
The activity also emphasized the importance of using social media wisely and avoiding provocations from terrorist groups.
