inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas) stated that the country must strengthen its defense and resilience in light of predictions of a Third World War.

The Governor of Lemhanas, Ace Hasan Syadzily, stated that the state of a world war will depend on a country's resilience, including food, energy, and economic resilience.

"The state of a war will certainly depend on the extent to which we can maintain resilience—energy resilience, food resilience, and economic resilience—to support our efforts to ensure our nation's survival," stated the Lemhannas Governor on Monday (2/9/2026).

According to him, Indonesia must be prepared and remain vigilant for the possibility of a world war. In the preparation, Hasan called on all parties to unite and strengthen Indonesia's position in the dynamics of global politics.

"Of course, we urge and invite all parties to maintain the unity and integrity of the nation, which is a prerequisite for us to remain strong amidst the dynamics of global politics at all times," he explained.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto presented his observations on predictions of a Third World War while attending various international meetings in Europe during the 2026 National Coordination Meeting on Monday (2/9/2026).

President Prabowo stated that the meeting saw growing concern among world leaders about the potential for a Third World War.

"Almost all world leaders are concerned about the possibility of a Third World War," he said.

In this context, President Prabowo reaffirmed Indonesia's commitment to an independent and active foreign policy and the principle of non-alignment. Indonesia will not join any military pacts and will continue to prioritize friendship with all nations.
