Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Chairman of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Erick Thohir has condemned the recent League 4 draw, calling it unprofessional and lacking transparency.
The incident, which went viral after a man was seen opening draw balls under a table, raised suspicion of foul play and drew criticism online, according to antaranews.com.
“We regret the unprofessional and non-transparent conduct of the League 4 draw. Never play games with the integrity of our competitions,” Chairman Ercisk said on Friday (11/4/2025).
He urged organizers to redo the draw fairly, involving all stakeholders, to uphold the principles of fair play and competition integrity. PSSI emphasized that League 4, despite being a lower-tier league, remains a crucial part of Indonesia’s football ecosystem.
The association will conduct a full evaluation of the organizing committee to prevent similar incidents in the future. The controversy has sparked public concern over the credibility of the national football system.
