Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police’s Traffic Corps will enforce a nationwide one-way traffic system during the peak of the 2025 Eid Al-Fitr homecoming and return flow to manage surging vehicle volumes.
Traffic Corps Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho said on Friday (7/3/2025) that the peak homecoming period is expected on 28 to 30 March 2025.
“We will implement a nonstop one-way system nationwide to ease congestion, including during the return flow. Further announcements will be made regarding schedules,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The measure aims to ensure smooth traffic on the Trans-Java Toll Road amid the expected surge. The Traffic Corps will apply a rest area closure policy to prevent overcrowding, particularly before iftar.
“When rest areas are full, vehicles start parking on the shoulder. We cannot allow that,” Chief Agus emphasized.
The Traffic Corps will conduct Operasi Ketupat 2025 from 24 March to 8 April 2025, focusing on traffic management across highways, tourist routes, and ferry terminals.
