inp.polri.go.id - Bengkulu. The Bengkulu Sub-regional City Police has prepared 100 personnel every day to secure the Tabut Festival on 1 to 10 Muharram 1447 Hijriah or 27 June to 6 July 2025.

The 100 personnel are on guard for the Tabut Festival which involves personnel from the police and military with 10 personnel each, and also a team from the Health Service, Transportation Service and Communication and Informatics Service of Bengkulu City.

"Later, the personnel will be on guard at nine security posts, namely one integrated post at the Bengkulu Long Beach Post, then eight posts in the area inside the Sport Center as no vehicles are allowed to enter this area," said Head of Operations for the Bengkulu Sub-regional City Police, Police Assistant Superintendent Januri Sutirto in Bengkulu City, Monday (6/16/2025).

He said that the Bengkulu Police will also implement traffic engineering along the Long Beach area to reduce traffic congestion for visitors who are crowding the Tabut Festival. In addition, his party is also supervising parking attendants around the Tabut Festival location so that there is no recurrence of illegal levies or charging parking fees exceeding the rates set by the Bengkulu City government, which is IDR 2,000 for two-wheeled vehicles and IDR 3,000 for four-wheeled vehicles.

On the other hand, the 2025 Tabut Festival is different to the previous years as this year’s Tabut Festival will be carried out in two different locations.

In 2024, the main Tabut Festival which featured Tabut Kreasi, and the bazaar was held at the Merdeka View Tower Field, Bengkulu City and this year it was held at the Bengkulu City Sport Center Area.

Meanwhile, the ritual carried out by the Tabut Harmony Family (KKT) will still be carried out at the Merdeka Field, Bengkulu City.
