inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo revealed that the total number of vehicles leaving Jakarta as of this morning reached 1.2 million. 

This figure is based on the predicted 3.5 million vehicles expected to leave Jakarta during the 2026 Eid homecoming period.

According to the INP Chief, there are still 2.3 million vehicles still unaccounted for.

"The current estimate for the number of vehicles leaving Jakarta is 1,213,388," explained General Sigit at the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Headquarters on Wednesday (3/18/2026).

General Sigit explained that the movement of 1.2 million vehicles represents a 20.89% increase compared to normal traffic flow. In other words, it's a 2.83% increase compared to Eid al-Fitr 2025.

General Sigit added that the most congested point during the 2026 Eid homecoming period occurred on the route leading to Gilimanuk. This congestion was caused by an increase in vehicles crossing to Ketapang Port.

"As for the toll road at the Cikatama toll gate, we also provide related services to those in need, especially those using private vehicles or public transportation," he said.
