inp.polri.go.id - Badung. The 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum meeting ends on Tuesday (9/3/2024) and Indonesia has signed 32 business cooperation contracts with a total value of 3.5 billion USD.

For two days, many important achievements are achieved such as 4 business agreements in the strategic industrial sector, 9 health business sectors, and 6 new and renewable energy (EBT) business sectors.

This was stated by the Director General of Asia, Pacific, and Africa of Foreign Affairs Ministry, Dewi Justicia Meidiwaty on Tuesday (9/3/2024) in Nusa Dua, Bali.

She said that the 2nd IAF was not only an event for State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and private companies to achieve potential business cooperation, but also an event for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to collaborate together.

This can be seen from the achievement of 16 business agreements between Indonesian MSMEs and companies from Africa in the exhibition that lasted for two days and received visits from five African country leaders. "This is what makes this forum more inclusive," said Dewi.

In addition, a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) for development cooperation in Africa was also signed on the sidelines of the 2nd IAF event.

The 2nd IAF also succeeded in strengthening economic and business cooperation between Indonesia and Africa, opening up new opportunities for growth and progress in both regions.
