inp.polri.go.id - Madiun. Four illegal travel cars were allegedly transporting travellers during the 2021 Eid homecoming ban. They were secured by officers from the Madiun Resort Police (Polres), East Java, during Semeru Ketupat Operation. "This trip deliberately brought travellers. They operated illegally. When crossing the Madiun Regency, this illegal travel was caught when an insulating checkpoint post officer carried out an inspection," explained the Chief of Madiun Police. Currently, the vehicles used to transport some travellers have been secured at the Madiun Police Headquarters. Meanwhile, the travellers were forced to return to the area where they had travelled. Chief of Traffic management of Madiun Police, Police Commissioner Attendant Ari Bayuaji said his staff would tighten the insulation. His party has alerted several members to be placed at a number of checkpoints. Among them are exit tolls, arterial lanes, and alternative roads. The insulation was carried out when the 2021 Ketupat Semeru Operation started 6-17 May 2021. Moreover, the insulation will be even tighter from 15 -17 May to anticipate increased mobility in the backflow. For illegal travel, he continued, they were given action with a ticket, and the vehicle was secured at the Madiun Police. "Alternative routes or alleyways are non-toll roads that are often crossed by vehicles if there is a blockage on toll roads and arterial roads. We will turn the vehicle back to the area where the trip came from,"Bayuaji concluded.
