Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia revealed one of the discussions in a closed meeting with President Prabowo at the Indonesian Presidential Palace, Jakarta, namely the target to provide electricity to 5,700 villages and 4,400 hamlets in various regions of Indonesia in 2029–2030.

Minister Bahlil along with several ministers of the Merah Putih Cabinet attended a closed meeting led by President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace, Monday (8/25/2025). They discussed government programs that were delayed for 2025, then programs that need to be implemented in the years after.

"We discussed the economy, and the 2025 program that's still pending and needs to be completed. Then we talked about the prospects for 2026 in terms of economic growth. We are also trying to build 5,700 villages that don't have electricity, and 4,400 hamlets and hopefully can be completed by 2029–2030," said the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tuesday (8/26/2025).

Regarding the budget, Bahlil said the figures were still being calculated, but the allocation for the village and hamlet electrification program had been included in the 2026 Draft State Budget.
