Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. The Educational and Training Institute of the Indonesian National Police (INP) launched the specialized training program for 583 Forest Police ( officers at the Pusdik Binmas Field in Semarang, Central Java, on Wednesday (19/8/2026)

The two-month program represents the initial phase of a broader national mandate to train 6,500 Forest Police officers incrementally across Indonesia under Presidential directives.

The opening ceremony was officiated by Deputy Minister of Forestry Rohmat Marzuki alongside Head of INP Educational and Training Institute Commissioner General R. Z. Panca Putra S.

"Forest Police must be equipped to protect forest ecosystems while collaborating seamlessly with the TNI, Polri, and local law enforcement agencies," said Deputy Minister Rohmat Marzuki.

The training program adopts an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum covering competencies of values and integrity, police operations, technical skills and special tactics.

Chief Panca emphasized that police training reinforces field procedures, evidence preservation, and operational readiness without altering the legal authority of the Forestry Ministry.
