The Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police confirmed the seizure of the diplomas of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), during the investigation into the fake diploma slander case. The seizure took place following an investigation at the Solo Sub-regional Police, Central Java.

"We confirm that this is true," explained the Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi, on Thursday (7/24/2025).

According to him, police investigators also confiscated the former Jakarta Governor's high school diplomas.

"Investigators have also confiscated the bachelor's and high school diplomas for examination or testing in a forensic laboratory during the investigation," he said.

This confiscation is expected to gather strong evidence against the perpetrators in the criminal act of slander and the spread of the fake diploma hoax. Jokowi also brought the diploma with him during his questioning as a reporter at the Solo Police Station yesterday (July 23, 2025).
