Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police have uncovered a drug trafficking ring following the seizure of 9.4 kilograms of marijuana in Cawang, East Jakarta. 

Three suspects, identified by their initials A, S, and B, were arrested on Thursday night while inside a vehicle at the UKI Hospital parking lot on Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo.

"Three suspects were arrested while inside a car in the hospital parking area," said Assistant Senior Inspector Rian Faozi, the Head of Unit 3 Sub-directorate 2 of the Metro Jaya Police Narcotics Directorate, on Monday (9/2/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.

During the search, officers discovered three large packages of marijuana wrapped in brown tape, along with several smaller packets. Investigators also confiscated four mobile phones and the vehicle used by the suspects. 

The operation was launched following public reports regarding local drug distribution. All three suspects are currently in custody at the Metro Jaya Police Narcotics Directorate for further interrogation as police work to trace the wider supply chain.
