Sigit said this activity was a manifestation of the acceleration of Covid-19 vaccination to achieve the 70 percent target for the formation of communal immunity, as hoped by Indonesian President Joko Widodo. "We hope that in the period ahead up to the last week, we really can reach the 70 percent target. Then, as the President's target, to form the expected community immunity," said Sigit in his review. "The former Banten Regional Police Chief was grateful because he received a report from the Southeast Sulawesi Police Chief that there was an increase in the achievement of vaccination acceleration of 49 percent. However, this positive trend," said Sigit, must be maintained and improved in the future. So then, we can pursue the shortfall target to reach 70 percent. "So, like it or not, one of the things we have to do is how to accelerate vaccination, especially for people who haven't had the vaccine, maybe because of fear or because of hoaxes, or because of their activities or because of other things," said Sigit. Therefore, Sigit emphasized, to achieve the 70 percent target and prevent the new variant of Covid-19, one must prioritize cooperation or synergy between all parties. "So, like it or not, this requires powerful collaboration, the synergy between the local government at the provincial, district and National Armed Forces and National Police levels and the whole community. Including volunteers," said Sigit. In addition to accelerating vaccination, Sigit said, discipline in health protocols in daily life must also continue to be implemented. With these two things being done, said Sigit, Indonesia will be more prepared to hold national and international events. "However, with the new variant, we remain vigilant in maintaining the health protocol. Furthermore, in the future, we will face various kinds of G-20 series in which the problem of controlling Covid-19, the problem of Covid-19 growth, is one of the important things to pay attention to," said Sigit.
