Inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. Banda Aceh Sub-regional Police officially named a 24-year-old daycare worker a suspect on Wednesday (29/4/2026) following allegations of toddler abuse at the Baby Preneur daycare center. 

The decision followed a formal case review and an intensive investigation into a viral CCTV recording that showed the alleged assault.

"Currently, we have named one suspect, DS. This follows the investigation and a case review by our team," said Head of Criminal Investigation for Banda Aceh Police Senior Inspector Miftahuda Dizha Fezuono, as reported by antaranews.com. 

He added that six witnesses, including daycare staff and the foundation owner, have been questioned.

The suspect faces charges under the Child Protection Law and the Criminal Code, carrying a potential five-year prison sentence. While the daycare management has issued a public apology and dismissed the employee, police are continuing their investigation to determine if other staff members were involved or if additional abuse incidents occurred at the facility.
