Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate of Corrections have transferred six high-risk inmates from Jakarta, including actor Ammar Zoni, to Nusakambangan Island, Central Java, following alleged involvement in narcotics distribution.
“They arrived at Nusakambangan around 7.43 am and were placed in the Super Maximum Security Karanganyar facility,” said Rika Aprianti, the Head of Subdirectorate Cooperation at the Directorate General of Corrections on Thursday (16/10/2025). “This move shows our serious stance that anyone involved in drug distribution will face strict action.”
The transfer was conducted under heavy security with personnel from the Directorate’s internal intelligence unit, Jakarta East Police, and the National Police. Ammar Zoni and the other inmates will receive super-maximum security supervision and rehabilitation programs designed to correct behavior and prevent recidivism.
“Like other high-risk inmates previously moved to Nusakambangan prisons, we aim to guide them to become responsible citizens upon release,” Rika added, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Over 1,500 high-risk inmates have been transferred to Nusakambangan prisons since Minister Agus Andrianto assumed leadership.
