Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Headquarter of Indonesia National Police together with Indonesia Red Crodd held blood donor activity at Indonesia National Police Headquarter. Besides celebrating Bhayangkara Day, it is expected the activity would contribute to add blood stock in Indonesia Red Cross, which is highly neeeded during the Covid-19 pandemic. The activity targets 500 blood donord from Indonesia National Police and Bhayangkari at the Indonesia National Police Headquarter. "During the pandemic, people who donates blood is decreasing, meanwhile the need for blood is never decreasing. That's why we organized blood donor to help people in need," the Head of Medical and Health Center (Kapusdokes) of Indonesia National Police, Police Brigadier General Rusdianto He said the blood donor is also implemented at 34 Regional Police across Indonesia with the schedule that is arranged by each region. The one star general mentioned the Indonesia National Police organize blood donor frequently in each working unit. The purpose is to help Indonesia Red Cross to meet the blood need for public. The Head of Medical and Healrh Center if Indonesia National Police emphasized, during the pandemic, the implementation of blood donation follow strict health protocol. The donor is required to take rapid antigen before donating blood, follow health protocols, implementing 3M (wearing mask, social distancing, and washing hands), then during the blood colkection, sterilization is carried out by referring to Covid-19 protocol. "Surely we implement strict health protocol, ensuring the donor is free from Covid-19, everyone wears mask, and keep social distancing," he explained.
