Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has launched an inquiry into alleged corruption in the issuance of land certificates for the controversial sea fences in Tangerang, Banten.
The AGO’s Head of the Legal Information Center, Harli Siregar, confirmed on Thursday (30/1/2025) that the AGO’s Special Crimes Division has requested village records from Kohod Village to review land ownership related to the case.
"The letter circulating is indeed from us. I have confirmed it with the Special Crimes team," Harli said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Harli explained that the current investigation is still in the preliminary phase, focused on gathering data and testimonies.
"We are collecting information, but this is an initial inquiry, not yet a formal criminal investigation," he clarified.
Harli added that if evidence of bribery or other criminal activity is found in the certification process, the AGO will proceed with further legal action.
