The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency aims to make all land services fully digital by 2028, supported by blockchain technology and smart contracts, said Director General of Land Rights Determination and Registration Asnaedi on Sunday (5/10/2025).
The digital transformation began in 2024 when all local land offices started adopting electronic land certificates. By 2025, the electronic transfer of land rights will be available nationwide, and starting 2026, printed certificates will become optional, according to antaranews.com
According to Asnaedi, the shift to digital services will minimize forgery risks and improve public convenience. The Ministry is also developing Generative AI for land administration, designed to integrate all land regulations and technical guidelines into a single intelligent system.
