Inp.polri.go.id - Mandalika. Ducati Lenovo Team's Francesco Bagnaia declared his victory at the MotoGP Mandalika 2023 on the Mandalika International Circuit as a personal turning point following his injury during the MotoGP Catalunya in September.
"This is a major moment for me. This win holds great significance as we faced difficulties recently," said Bagnaia at a MotoGP Mandalika post-race press conference on Sunday (15/10/2023) as reported by antaranews.com.
He explained that his injuries from the Catalunya-Barcelona accident were the most severe, with a broken leg, wrist, and ligament damage to his hand.
"In Barcelona, I showed signs of improvement, but then I fell again. It was a tough period for me. However, after some time, I made a successful comeback," the rider, also known as Pecco, explained, highlighting the challenges he faced during his recovery.
This victory at MotoGP Mandalika brought Bagnaia's points tally to 346, leading the standings. Jorge Martin trailed by 18 points, while Marco Bezzecchi maintains his third-place position with 283 points.
