Inp.polri.go.id - Gianyar. Bali recorded 7.05 million foreign tourist arrivals throughout 2025, marking the island’s highest figure in the past decade, Governor Wayan Koster announced on Thursday (1/1/2026).
“Based on airport data up to 31 December 2025, arrivals reached over 7.05 million, excluding more than 71,000 cruise passengers,” he said during a meeting with Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana at Puri Agung Ubud, as reported by antaranews.com.
The governor explained that arrivals increased by 11.3 percent compared with 2024, when Bali welcomed 6.3 million foreign visitors by air and 53,000 by sea. The growth surpassed the pre-pandemic record of 6.27 million visitors in 2019.
Governor Koster stressed that the data refutes claims that Bali is losing its appeal, although domestic tourist trips declined to 9.28 million in 2025. He added that traffic congestion and waste management remain key challenges, prompting infrastructure upgrades and new transport projects starting in 2026.
