Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. In a bid to preempt potential security disruptions during the 2024 Election vote count recapitulation phase, the Bali Regional Police and the Denpasar City Sub-regional Police, initiated joint night patrols.
Senior Superintendent Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, the Public Relations Unit Chief of the Bali Police, disclosed that the Night Patrols were executed by a joint task force as part of Mantap Brata Agung Operation with its primary objective was to surveil areas identified as vulnerable within Denpasar.
"Throughout the operation, Bali Police personnel conducted thorough inspections of sites prone to criminal activities or other detrimental behaviors, including extortion, thuggery, prostitution, intoxication, and various other negative activities," he said,
Moreover, Chief Jansen highlighted that such patrols are a routine practice among their personnel.
"Understanding that crimes often stem from both intent and opportunity, these regular night patrols serve as preemptive measures aimed at curbing disturbing criminal activities and fostering a sense of security within the community," he said.,
