inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) logged 491 houses in Bandung, West Java, damaged following the 4.9 magnitude earthquake. The quake also caused 81 people in Bandung to be injured.
“Houses affected by the earthquake in Bandung are 491 units. Moreover, the total victim data records that 81 people in Bandung are injured,” says Head of BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari in a written statement on Thursday (9/19/2024).
Other than places of living, public facilities also suffered damages such as health, educational, government, and house of worship facilities.
“Other than homes, the disaster also impacted other buildings in the area such as 5 units of health facilities, 9 units of educational facilities, two units of governmental facilities, 18 units of public facilities, and 27 units of places of worship,” says Abdul.
In other places, in Garut Regency, there are 209 houses reported to be affected by the disaster, along with seven educational buildings and five places of worship.
