The perpetrator with the initials GM was arrested by the Babel Regional Police's Directorate of Drug Investigation, which was led directly by the Director of the Babel Police's Directorate of Drug Investigation, Pol. Grand Commissioner Ahmad Yanuari Ihsan, when the perpetrator got off the ferry at Tanjungkalian Port on Sunday (09/05) early in the morning. The arrest of the perpetrator was a follow-up to information from the public which stated that there was an alleged plan to send cannabis in large quantities from Sumatra Island to Bangka. From this information, the officers immediately checked the veracity of the perpetrators through examination of manifest data at Tanjungkalian Port. "From the data, the team found the name of the perpetrator who had crossed into the Port of Tanjung Readyiapi, South Sumatra using a black car with the police number BN1735PR," explained Head of PR. Furthermore, the team monitored the movements of the perpetrators and it was discovered that Wednesday (09/01) the perpetrators would return to Bangka Island via a ferry from Tanjung Prepareiapi Port to Tanjungkalian, Mentok, but the crossing plan that day was delayed because the perpetrators were hampered by vaccine validation, so the new perpetrators could depart. heading to Bangka Island on Saturday (09/04) using the last ferry to Tanjungkalian Port which departs at 08.30 PM. The ship arrived at Tanjungkalian Port at around 12.15 AM and when the perpetrators arrived at Tanjungkalian Port, officers immediately arrested the perpetrator and the car he was using, he said. Furthermore, the car and the perpetrators were taken to the Mentok Police Headquarter for a search in the presence of the local Head of Neighbourhood and Tanjungkalian Port Security Guard officers. During the search, evidence was found in the form of marijuana type narcotics wrapped in plastic wrapped with 35 packs of brown duct tape and weighing about 30 kilograms. "Furthermore, the perpetrators and the evidence were taken to the Babel Regional Police's Directorate of Drug Investigation for further examination," added the Head of PR. During the arrest, the evidence found and confiscated were 35 plastic packs containing marijuana weighing about 30 kilograms, a cell phone unit, a savings book and a black BN1735PR car.
