inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Arief Prasetyo Adi invited the ranks of the Indonesian National Military (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (INP) to assist Perum Bulog in educating farmers so that they can produce quality rice when absorbed by the government.
"Education is needed so that the government's purchase price policy (HPP) for dry harvested rice (GKP) without fractionation can be supported by improving the quality of GKP produced by farmers," said the Head of Bapanas, Wednesday (4/16/2025).
He conveyed the government's efforts under the command of President Prabowo Subianto in accelerating food self-sufficiency, especially rice is very important to be supported by many parties.
Along with the increase in rice production in 2025, the government through Perum Bulog is absorbing farmers' harvests to be stored as Government Rice Reserves (CBP).
"We really appreciate our colleagues at TNI-INP . There is no organization as solid as this. So all of you should be proud to be part of them," concluded the Head of Bapanas.
He said, President Prabowo has ordered all parties to realize food self-sufficiency. The price of GKP farmers must be absorbed according to the HPP of IDR 6,500 per kg without fractionation and any quality.
"That is absolute. Today we are working on rice self-sufficiency. March and April are the peak of the harvest, so we assign Bulog to carry out absorption. This does require us to work harder, but it can help farmers in the fields," explained the Head of Bapanas.
The government's support for farmers is shown through Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 6 of 2025 concerning Procurement and Management of Domestic Paddy/Rice and Distribution of CBP.
The President has mandated a target for domestic rice procurement in 2025 of 3 million tons with a HPP of IDR 6,500 per kg for GKP with all qualities at the farmer level.
