Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. In current drought season, Bengkulu Police Chief Inspector General Armed Wijaya expected people of Bengkulu to be more aware with the dangers of fire. The message was conveyed when the police chief has inspected several wildfire sites in Bengkulu in the last few days. Just recently, three hectares of conservation land in Besar Village was burned and widely affect the people living in the area. “Thankfully, the wildfire was able to be extinguished after we came directly to the site,” said Bengkulu Police Chief. The Two-star General also stated that his party has monitor the situation through air and found other several wildfire locations in Bengkulu. After figuring out the whole situation, the Police Chief instructed his forces to deploy wildfire task force in extinguishing the fire. “Yesterday we saw from the air the locations of the wildfire around Sekabul. I have ordered Bengkulu forces to immediately extinguish the fire,” he said further. Armed Wijaya later conveyed that the police is still investigating the case to find out the chronology and the perpetrator of the wild fire.
