Inp.polri.go.id - Bengkulu. Bengkulu Regional Police Chief Inspector General Yudhi Sulistianto Wahid led a troop and equipment roll call at the Anton Soedjarwo Field to anticipate the impacts of El Nino, extreme drought, and forest fires on Saturday (1/8/2026).
The event brought together the military, police, and local administration officials to inspect response capabilities ahead of a prolonged dry season.
Following troop and equipment inspections, Chief Yudhi emphasized that early mitigation and inter-agency coordination are critical to preventing potential environmental disasters across the province.
"Synergy and collaboration among all stakeholders are key to preventing and handling the impacts of El Nino and forest fires," he said. "Preparedness must begin early so that any potential disaster can be anticipated quickly, accurately, and in a coordinated manner."
