Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has denied allegations of fictitiousNutrition Service Units (SPPG) kitchens, stressing that every stage of construction under the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program is tightly monitored.
The claims surfaced after residents saw banners reading “An SPPG kitchen will be built here” without visible construction.
“We are very confident there are no fake SPPG units. The issue arose because residents saw sites with banners but no physical progress,” said BGN Deputy Head Sony Sonjaya on Monday (22/9/2025) as reported by antaranews.com.
He explained that the SPPG system requires ten strict stages, from registration and field surveys to eligibility checks and creation of a virtual account before MBG funds can be disbursed. Without official approval from both a foundation and an SPPG head, funding cannot be released.
To address delays, BGN has reset stalled proposals, opened a verified complaint channel via WhatsApp, and held meetings with potential partners in 16 cities to ensure project seriousness.
