inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is strengthening its collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Digital to counter hoaxes and disinformation related to the Free Nutritional Meals (MBG) Program.
BGN Head of Legal and Public Relations, Khairul Hidayati, stated in an official statement in Jakarta that strengthening data- and fact-based narratives is a priority for BGN amidst the rapid flow of digital information. She stated that national strategic programs like the MBG must be supported by transparent and responsive communication.
"The MBG program concerns the interests of the wider community, so the information circulating must be accurate and accountable. We are strengthening our cooperation with the Ministry of Communication and Digital to ensure the digital space remains free from hoaxes and disinformation," Hida said during her visit to Surakarta, Central Java, on Friday (2/27/2026).
Hida explained that the collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Digital focuses not only on clarifying issues but also on building an early detection system for the potential spread of misinformation on various digital platforms. This approach is carried out through strengthening coordination, media monitoring, and improving public digital literacy.
Furthermore, BGN emphasized the importance of transparency and access to official complaints as part of an integrated communications strategy. Through available official channels, the public is expected to obtain accurate information and submit reports directly if they encounter suspected irregularities in the field.
"The state must be present not only in program implementation, but also in maintaining the credibility of information. This synergy is a concrete step to prevent the public from being influenced by misleading narratives," he explained.
Meanwhile, Molly Prabawaty, Expert Staff to the Minister of Communication and Digital for Communication and Mass Media, emphasized the importance of data-based public oversight and cross-agency collaboration to combat hoaxes about the MBG.
"The BGN's collaboration with us is a concrete example of how a data-driven approach can prevent the spread of hoaxes while strengthening public trust in national programs like the MBG," Molly said.
