Inp.polri.go.id - Ternate. Bhayangkara FC delivered a major upset in Week 19 of the 2025–2026 Super League by defeating hosts Malut United 2-1 at Gelora Kieraha stadium on Saturday (31/1/2026). 

Despite facing a hostile crowd, the visitors displayed clinical efficiency, securing three vital points through early dominance and a disciplined defensive masterclass that thwarted the home side's late resurgence.

"We are extremely satisfied; the players remained focused and executed our game plan perfectly to secure this meaningful away win," said Bhayangkara head coach Paul Munster, as quoted by antaranews.com

M. Sidibe opened the scoring in the 22nd minute following a pinpoint assist from P. Mbarga, before Moises doubled the lead shortly after halftime. Although David Da Silva pulled one back for Malut United in the 70th minute, Bhayangkara’s backline held firm against a barrage of attacks featuring stars like Spasojevic. 

This victory serves as a successful "revenge mission" for Bhayangkara, who previously lost to the Ternate-based side earlier this season.
