Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police are hunting down two additional suspects involved in the stabbing of an advocate in Kelapa Dua, South Tangerang, which occurred last Monday.
The attack followed a heated dispute regarding a forced vehicle repossession by the suspects, who claimed to be debt collectors. While one suspect, identified as JBI, was arrested in Semarang on Tuesday, authorities are intensifying efforts to track down the remaining fugitives linked to the violent encounter, according to antaranews.com
"For the other two suspects, we are conducting a pursuit," explained Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Police Budi Hermanto on Friday, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy toward thuggery.
The victim, Bastian Sori, a member of the Indonesian Advocates Congress (KAI), sustained serious injuries during the confrontation. In response, the police have ordered all units to take "decisive and measured action" against debt collectors who use intimidation or force. Investigations are also targeting financing institutions to ensure legal protocols for asset recovery are strictly followed, preventing illegal street-level harassment.
