Inp.polri.go.id - Seville. Indonesian long-distance runner Robi Syianturi made history at the 2026 Seville Marathon in Spain this Sunday, clocking a remarkable 2 hours, 13 minutes, and 18 seconds.
This performance shattered both the Indonesian national record and the Southeast Asian marathon record. The 28-year-old athlete’s feat recorded his third consecutive year breaking national records, following previous successes in Gold Coast and Valencia.
“I am deeply grateful to break the record again here in Seville; this achievement is for Indonesia, my family, and the running community,” Robi said in a statement on Monday (16/2/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
The World Athletics Elite-label race, known for its flat and fast course, provided the perfect stage for Robi’s milestone. Supported by ASICS Indonesia, Robi utilized advanced carbon-plate technology to maintain his record-breaking pace.
