inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) Eddy Hartono instructed all BNPT ranks to continue to improve performance in countering terrorism, especially at the end of 2024.

“Going towards the end of 2024, let us continue to improve our work performance in every field of prevention effort of counter-terrorism,” said Eddy on Monday (12/2/2024).

For that, he requested that a number of collaborative activities must continue to be improved so that prevention efforts can always be intensified.

Eddy hopes that various BNPT programs can be synergized with programs of ministries/institutions that have a positive impact on society.

He mentioned that there are a number of BNPT programs related to terrorism prevention that collaborate with government institutions, including the Synergy program, Siapsiaga Village, Peace School, and National Dialogue.

On the other hand, Eddy also continues to invite all parties to always be vigilant against the radical ideology of terrorism.

Previously, the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs ensured that acts of terrorism in Indonesia had decreased over the past three years because the government had succeeded in suppressing the seeds of terrorism movements early on.

According to the Head of BNPT, Indonesia has succeeded in being in a safe status from terrorism because the government took early preventive measures such as prosecuting the perpetrators before they carried out their actions.
