Bodies of Two Motorcycle Taxi Drivers Killed by KKB Sent Home to Makassar

Inp.polri.go.id - Mimika. The bodies of two motorcycle taxi drivers, victims of an armed criminal group (KKB) attack in Sinak District, Central Papua, were flown to their hometowns in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Sunday (24/11/2024) via Batik Air flight ID-6261.

The victims, identified as Imran (23) from Gowa and Asrun Eko Putra (24) from Takalar, were fatally shot on Thursday. Both men had been working as motorcycle taxi drivers in the area.

"Today, the remains of the two victims of the KKB’s brutality in Sinak District, Puncak Regency, have been flown to Makassar," said Senior Superintendent Bayu Suseno, the spokesperson for the Damai Cartenz Operations 2024 Operations.

Chief  Bayu also urged residents to report suspicious individuals to authorities promptly. Authorities continue to investigate the incident to ensure the safety of residents in affected areas.
