Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. Jovanka Alfaudi, a 19-year-old cadet for the Indonesian Police Academy (Akpol) 2024, was raised in a Islamic boarding school (pesantren),

He is fluent in Arabic and Spanish due to her four years at Modern Pesantren Ummul Quro Al Islami in Bogor, West Java.

Coming from a modest background, Jovan's father, Wahludi, is a retired employee of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia, while her mother, Dina Sumartini, is a homemaker. Jovan, born on 16 October 2004, in North Jakarta, was motivated by her older brother, Dimas ALS, a graduate of the Military Academy serving in the Indonesian Military (TNI) Special Forces Command (Kopassus) counter-terrorism unit.

"My motivation to become a police officer comes from my brother and family. We’re not from a military or police family but had strong faith and determination. My brother always taught me that even a small family can achieve dreams, like becoming a cadet," he said.

Despite failing twice in the Bintara (enlisted) selections—once for the police and once for the military—due to health issues, Jovan persevered. With rigorous training and health improvements, he succeeded in the Akpol selection for Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police.

During his time at Ummul Quro, Jovan adapted to the strict boarding school environment and became a security officer. He credits his achievements to the teachings of her educators and the support of his family and mentors.

"With the support and prayers from my family and teachers, I hope to succeed as a cadet at Akpol 2024," Jovan said.
