Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. The Indonesian Military (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (INP) have organized a security briefing for the upcoming visit of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo to Papua.

The President, accompanied by First Lady Iriana Jokowi, is scheduled to attend the 40th National Children's Day (HAN) celebration, according to antaranews.com/

The main event will be held at Istora Papua Bangkit in Jayapura on 23 July  2024. 

Brigadier General Dedi Hardono of the 172/Praja Wira Yakti Military Command announced that 4,000 personnel will be deployed for the security of the President and First Lady.

Security will cover key locations from Sentani Airport to the event venue. 

Commander Hardono emphasized the importance of professionalism, integrity, and discipline among the security personnel to ensure the smooth conduct of the HAN celebrations. 

He also highlighted the need for high vigilance, especially from intelligence units, to anticipate and address any potential threats.
