inp.polri.go.id – The Head of the West Java Regional Police (Kapolda Jabar), Inspector General Drs. Suntana, M.Sc., opened the badminton championship in celebration of Bhayangkara's 76th Anniversary. The tournament was held at Gor Bikasoga Bandung, on Monday (13/06/22). The badminton championship event was opened by displaying various artistic and cultural performances. Present at the event was the Head of the Head of the Youth And Sports Department (Kadispora) representing the Governor of West Java and the Chief of Staff of the Regional Military Command (Kasdam) III Siliwangi and the West Java PBSI administrators. In his speech, Kapolda Jabar said that this badminton championship was to welcome the 76th Anniversary of Bhayangkara and also to found new athletes of badminton. The West Java Police Chief Cup III Badminton Championship was held from 13 to 19 June 2022, as a series of events of the 76th Anniversary of Bhayangkara in 2022. This cup offers opportunities for club athletes and all badminton lovers to participate in official championship that regarded as a provincial level championship. "Through this badminton championship, it is hoped that it can have a positive impact on the development of badminton organizations in Indonesia, and can become a barometer of the development of the national badminton sport. This tournament could also become the selection for badminton athlete, while improving the quality of curent athletes,” concluded the West Java Police Chief.
