inp.polri.go.id – The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police (Polri) and Polda Metro Jaya have deployed more than 3,000 personnel to carry out Operation Patuh Jaya for two weeks, starting on Monday (13/6/22). "Polda Metro, will deploy their 3,070 troops," explained the Chief of Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas), Inspector General Firman Santyabudi. He said that from Korlantas itself, they will scatter their 350 personnel to operate in three Regional Polices (Polda), namely in Polda Banten, Polda Metro Jaya, and West Java Regional Police. “We want to make the people more aware and more compliance with the traffic law, not just because there are police or the tickets. We want to make the community realized that the importance of the law and order, so that they can become the police for themselves,” explained Kakorlantas. Inspector General Firman Santyabudi emphasized there is a high toll to pay if there is an accident due to the violations on the raod, especially when the person involved are the backbone of their family. "Once again, the costs that must be paid if there is a traffic jam or an accident may not be able to be calculated by money. If the traffic jams or accident happened to cause someone died, the victims are usually the breadwinners of the family,” explained Kakorlantas.
