Inp.polri.go.id - Palangkaraya. The Central Kalimantan Regional Police handled 20 criminal cases involving the illegal distribution of oil and gas between 2025 and 2026, officially naming 24 suspects in the ongoing crackdown on energy syndicates on Thursday (9/7/2026).

During the extensive enforcement operations, authorities seized 53,527 Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders and 1,697 liters of subsidized fuel. Additional confiscated assets utilized in the smuggling operations included nine tank trucks and 398 four-wheel and six-wheel vehicles, preventing estimated state financial losses of nearly Rp1.35 billion.

"The evidence includes 1,697 liters of subsidized fuel, 53,527 LPG cylinders, nine tank trucks, and said vehicles," Central Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Iwan Kurniawan said. "This law enforcement action is part of the Central Kalimantan Police's commitment to ensuring that energy distribution reaches its targeted audience and is not abused by irresponsible parties."

The Central Kalimantan Police has also ramped up operations to monitor food security and quality standards in the province.

In recent enforcement actions conducted alongside relevant government agencies to maintain standard pricing and safety, officers confiscated 183 sacks, totaling approximately one ton, of premium rice that failed to meet mandatory legal quality parameters.
