Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Corruption Eradication Corps and the Special Crimes Investigation Directorate of the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional executed a late-night raid on a shophouse in the Cipete area of South Jakarta.
The operation, which concluded in the early hours of Friday (10/7/2026), is directly linked to an expansive multi-case investigation into alleged coal supply corruption, bribery, and corporate money laundering.
The target, located on Jalan Asem II in South Jakarta's South Cipete district, represents the 13th distinct operational site swept by joint task force detectives following extensive witness interrogations and comprehensive case presentations.
"We can convey that the search at this 13th point is a continuation of the previous investigative activities," Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto said.
During the law enforcement sweep, mechanized iron-cutting sounds could be heard from within the structure. Chief Budi clarified that tactical units were not breaching another high-security safe, which was similar to assets seized in earlier related raids, but were instead forcing entry through heavily barricaded access points to clear the vacant building's third floor.
Forensic teams successfully confiscated an array of physical documents, corporate ledgers, and computer hard drives before sealing the premises. Local neighborhood representatives were present to witness the operational procedures, which were verified by formal court orders and search warrants. Police officials are currently cataloging the seized hardware and digital evidence to map out further distribution nodes and identify additional suspects.
